[ Hinata's voice is oddly hushed but still loud, as if he's speaking too close to the device, whenever Kageyama picks up. ]

That jerk Tsukishima is here!

[Kageyama takes only a few seconds before he calls Hinata back up.]

Of all the people... Ugh.

Can we get rid of him and trade him for somebody better?

Why couldn't Noya-senpai or Tanaka-san come?!

[ While they're at the top of the hypothetical list, Hinata would prefer any of othe others over Tsukishima. ]

I don't think it works like that.

... I wish it did.

... Sugawara-san.

[He's at the top of Kageyama's list, but that's because the older setter is the person he gets along with most after Hinata. Though the thought of having to do things with him is a bit bizarre.]

Are you sure? We haven't been here that long.

[decoyer]

It'd be great to have him here too! [ He agrees readily, but he's thinking along the same lines as Kageyama. It's strange wanting their team here and yet... not wanting that at the same time. ]

Hn, that's true... I could ask Seijuurou maybe, he's been here a while.

[he can't deny he misses some of them, but having them here would be... weird...]

Would we throw him back in the cave? If anybody knows it's probably Akashi-san.

[ That idea doesn't exactly sound too agreeable to Hinata, who's rather intimidated by the other middle blocker. ]

If that's how it works, I'm not going to be the one to do it. He'll hit me or something! And he's too big for me to do that anyway.

... I don't think I can throw him either. [Hinata's much smaller and lighter, and therefore considerably easier to carry and throw.

But he'd rather keep Hinata around.]

Hopefully getting rid of him doesn't involve throwing then. [ Unless their combined effort would somehow work... ]

He's not going to stay with us, so you don't have to worry about that.

[There's probably no way to get rid of him, but Kageyama's quietly hopeful.]

Good. I don't think either of us can handle living with him. [And he's gotten used to living with Hinata. He likes living with just Hinata. While he can and has adjusted to a lot of things, that's not something he wants to change just yet.]

[decoyer]

One of you would end up killing the other. [ He absolutely does not want to be in the middle of that.

And, well, Hinata doesn't like the idea of seeing Kageyama angry and upset. ]

You'd go back to being more grumpy again.

[makeinvincible]

What's that supposed to mean? [He feels about as grumpy as he usually is. ... Even though he scowls a lot less and pouts a lot more. It's difficult to be properly grumpy in the face of sunshine everyday.]

[decoyer]

Mnn, I don't know. You just seem... more relaxed lately? Not as frown-y sometimes.

[ He sounds somewhat unsure, because maybe it's his imagination? Kageyama seems to smile a bit more, and it's not the scary one he forces out. ]

Huh...? [He doesn't feel like anything's different. But then, he's never been particularly self-aware. At all.]

Should I be frowning more?

No way! You look more friendly when you're not.

[ Like he's concerned about Kageyama making friends. This is turning a bit embarrassing but Hinata can't help but blurt out, honestly, ]

I like seeing you smile and look happier.

[There's a long awkward, embarrassed pause. Hinata likes that? Well, he mostly looked happy on the court and when they did... things together. So it made sense still, it's one thing to understand it, and another thing entirely to hear it.

He's so glad they aren't using the video function.]

[ Hinata makes an unsure face to himself when his words are given a long silence, but the response is at least relieving. ]

They still look good on you though! But thanks.

[ There's a chuckle. ]

Don't think too much about what I said or you'll start doing the scary smile.

[There's a little huff on Kageyama's end.]

Dumbass, I'm not going to start making faces because of you.

[... even though he totally does. But hasn't realized it.]

Yeah, sure. [ That's totally a snicker coming from Hinata's end.

After all, he tries to embarrass him and elicit such reactions and faces from him, and knows that he succeeds sometimes! ]

You still at home?

[Kageyama's rolling his eyes, but he'll leave it.]

Yeah. Coming back or did you want to go somewhere?

Coming back!! Don't want to run into Tsukishima again yet, but we can go out and do something later.

[ Because as long as they're together it'll be fun, he's sure. ]
